Adidas Drive Light

Adidas Drive Light

The lighter Drive, adidas's round-headed entry racket in the Discovery segment. Low balance, soft face, beginner level. The round head puts the sweet spot in the middle of the face, which is where a developing player actually makes contact.

About the Adidas Drive Light

The Drive is the frame adidas builds for a first racket, and the Light is its most forgiving build. The round head is the point: it centres the sweet spot rather than pushing it towards the tip, so mishits stay in play more often than they would on a teardrop or a diamond. The balance is low, which keeps the racket easy to move and easy to recover with at the net, and the face is soft. There is no performance version above it within the line, so this is a self-contained choice rather than the first rung of a ladder. It sits beside the Match in adidas's Discovery segment, and the difference between the two is that the Match runs a teardrop head at a medium balance. Sold across 2024 and 2026.
