Made to be left alone
A screen in a clubhouse has no keyboard, nobody to scroll it and nobody to restart it on a Sunday. Every decision here follows from that.
The display measures the screen it lands on and picks the largest type that still fits. Six rows fill a panel as completely as twenty, so nothing is ever stranded in dead space.
A TV has no scrollbar, so anything past the fold is simply lost. Everything is measured to fit inside the panel instead of overflowing it.
Many televisions quietly crop a few percent off every edge. The layout keeps a margin for exactly that, so nothing important sits where the panel eats it.
It reloads on the interval you choose, keeps showing the last good screen if the connection drops, and recovers by itself. Weeks at a time without anyone touching it.
