About the Wilson Defy V1

The Defy V1 is the middle of Wilson's power line: the same diamond head and high balance as the Pro that Javi Garrido plays, at a level pitched slightly wider. The face is hard, so this is not the forgiving build of the line - that is the LS, which drops the swingweight, or the Light beneath it. What the diamond head gives you is weight high in the frame and output on clean contact; what it asks is that the contact be clean. V1 is a generation marker rather than a tier, so a V1 and a V2 are consecutive seasons of one racket rather than two levels of it. Wilson builds on EVA. Sold across 2025 and 2026.
