Kuwait City joined the Premier Padel calendar in 2024, giving the Gulf its own stop on the P1 tier. In that opening staging, Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia claimed the men's title, while Ariana Sanchez Fallada and Paula Josemaria Martin won the women's draw. The event slots into the tour as one of the newer P1s outside Europe, part of a wider push to establish padel in the region. With only one edition on record, its history is still being written, and each subsequent staging will start to reveal whether any pair can defend the title Coello and Tapia opened with.
