Royal Padel's story spans padel's two homelands. By its own official history the company dates to 1991, when it was one of only two padel racket brands in Spain; the tour that later made it an official supplier traces the brand further back, to a late-1980s carpentry workshop in Mar del Plata, Argentina, before the Tarradas family acquired it and set up headquarters in Barcelona. Either way, few active brands have been making padel rackets longer — the company switched from wood to rubber-cored construction as early as 1992.
The modern business has a distinctive dual structure. In 2005–2006, Ramiro Nanni — an Argentine former professional who reached world number five — agreed with Rafael Tarradas to build a factory under the brand in Argentina, and Royal Padel América grew into one of the sport's largest production operations: a family-run plant complex in Santa Fe province with over a hundred employees, exporting to around fifty countries. In 2020 the brand became official racket and apparel supplier of the APT Padel Tour, the Argentine-rooted circuit, deepening its identity as Latin America's heritage racket house.
