RS Sports Cobra
Cobra is RS's long-running all-round racket and the name the brand is best known for. It predates the current Prime ladder and still runs alongside it, which is why a Cobra Edition and a Prime Cobra both exist: the second is the name carried into the newer family rather than a replacement for the first.
The builds cover a wide span. Apex is the fuller frame and Light its lighter counterpart, while Women's Edition, Junior Edition and Kid Edition size the same idea for different players — the Kid Edition is a genuine child's racket for ages four to eight rather than a light adult frame.

Is the Cobra the same as the Prime Cobra?
They are related rather than identical. Cobra is RS's own all-round line and predates the Prime family; the Prime Cobra is that name carried into the newer ladder. If both are available, the Prime Cobra is the more recent expression of the idea, while a Cobra Edition is the standalone line it came from.
Which Cobra suits a beginner?
The standard Edition or the Light, depending on whether a full-weight frame feels manageable. The Cobra is built as an all-round racket rather than a demanding one, which is what has made it the brand's most durable name. The Kid Edition is for children aged roughly four to eight and is not a light option for an adult.
What does Apex change about the Cobra?
It is the fuller build of the family, sitting above the standard Edition rather than beside it. Where the Light drops weight for easier handling, the Apex is the version for a player who wants more frame behind the ball. The rest of the Cobra character — all-round, forgiving — carries across both.
