Slazenger Challenge
Challenge is Slazenger's numbered padel ladder and the family that carries most of its volume. Where other brands use words for their tiers, Slazenger uses numbers: a Challenge No 2, No 4, No 5 or No 6 tells you where the racket sits, and the shape and face are named alongside it.
The listings pair those numbers with a shape and a weave — No 2 Round 12K Karbon, No 5 Hybrid 3K Karbon — so a full name carries three pieces of information at once. Karbon with a K is Slazenger's own spelling of the face material rather than a different substance.

How do I read a Challenge name?
In three parts. The number is the position in the ladder, the shape word (Round, Hybrid) is the mold, and the weave (3K, 12K) is the face. So a Challenge No 2 Round 12K Karbon is the No 2 rung in a round mold with a 12K face — three facts rather than one model name.
Is a 12K face better than a 3K?
Softer rather than better, and this is read backwards more often than any other spec. A higher K number is a finer, more elastic weave, so 12K is more comfortable and forgiving while 3K is denser, stiffer and more direct. Which is better depends on whether you want comfort or a crisp response.
Who is the Challenge family for?
Players early in the sport who want a recognisable name and easy availability. Slazenger sells through general sports retail rather than padel specialists, and the Challenge ladder is built for that buyer — someone replacing a rental racket rather than choosing between molds. Competitive players will find deeper options elsewhere.
