Varlion LW
LW is Varlion's original family and the one the brand's reputation rests on: Lethal Weapon, drawn by hand by Félix Regalia in 1995 and the frame that introduced the oversized head the whole industry went on to copy. It is the round, control-oriented shape in a catalogue organised entirely by shape.
Its builds are technology names rather than levels. Summum is the range marker Varlion applies across families; Prisma Carbon 9, Carbon TI and Hexagon 8.8 name frame profiles and layups; Cube and One are further variants. Shops abbreviate Lethal Weapon to LW, so both forms turn up.

Is LW the same as Lethal Weapon?
Yes. Varlion abbreviates its own family name and retailers follow, so LW and Lethal Weapon listings are the same rackets. Treat them as one when comparing prices — the abbreviation is not a different or lesser line.
What did the oversized head change about padel?
It moved the whole sport to a larger hitting surface. Before the 1995 Lethal Weapon, padel rackets were narrower at the head, which made the sweet spot small and mishits expensive. Widening the head enlarged the effective surface without changing weight or thickness, and within a few years the wider profile was standard across the industry.
How do I read a Varlion build name?
As a stack of technologies rather than a ladder. Summum marks the range, Prisma is the aerodynamic frame profile, Carbon TI and Carbon 9 name layups, and Airflow or Difusor describe build features. So LW Summum Prisma Airflow is one racket described by four attributes, not four steps up from a base LW.
