Adidas Arrow Hit Carbon

The carbon-faced Arrow Hit. A diamond head with an adjustable balance and a medium face, at intermediate to advanced level. The adjustable balance is the distinguishing feature within the line. Carbon in the name refers to the face rather than to the core, which stays EVA as across adidas's range.

About the Adidas Arrow Hit Carbon

The Arrow Hit Carbon takes the line's diamond head and adds two things: a carbon face and an adjustable balance. The adjustment is what makes it unusual, because it means the racket does not commit to a profile at purchase in the way the Attack and Ctrl builds do. The face is medium rather than hard, which keeps some margin on off-centre contact. Within the Arrow Hit it sits between the attacking builds, which fix the balance high, and the control builds, which pull it back. adidas builds on EVA across the range, and the Carbon in the name refers to the face rather than to the core. Against the Carbon Attack it shares the face material and gives up the fixed high balance; against the Carbon Ctrl it is closer than the names suggest, since both leave the balance adjustable.
