Questions about the Babolat Veron
How much does the Babolat Veron cost?
Across the 3 builds we track a price for, the Babolat Veron runs from €189.95 to €215.95. Prices come from the retailers we follow and change often, so the figures on this page are the current ones.
Should I buy the Babolat Veron or the Viper?
The Veron for most players. It gives up some stiffness and raw power to the Viper and gets back comfort and a larger margin for error, which matters more over a full match than a marginal gain in smash speed. The Viper makes sense if you already hit hard and find the Veron soft.
What is the difference between a Technical Veron and a Counter Veron?
The shape of the head. Technical is the diamond: more power, a smaller sweet spot, more demanding. Counter is round, with the widest sweet spot and the most forgiveness. Same family and same character underneath, so pick the shape for how consistently you strike the ball.
Is the Babolat Veron good for an intermediate player?
Yes, particularly in the Counter or Air shapes. It is the point in the Babolat range where the frame stops asking for a professional strike, and the softer rubber makes it a reasonable racket to play several times a week without arm trouble.
What does Carbon Flex mean on a Veron?
It is Babolat's name for the more flexible carbon construction used in this family. The practical effect is that the frame bends a little more at contact, which softens the hit and adds dwell time on the strings side of the ball, at the cost of some of the flat, fast response the Viper gives.
