Stiga Cybershape
Cybershape is the only padel family Stiga makes, and the head is what defines it: a hexagonal face rather than the round, teardrop or diamond outlines every other brand uses. The shape is carried over from Stiga's table tennis blades, where the brand has been working for decades, and the argument for it is that flattening the top of the head puts hitting surface where a padel racket normally tapers away. Stiga claims a sweet spot around a fifth larger than a conventional mold of the same size.
The builds are separated by carbon weave rather than by shape, so the choice within the range is about stiffness and price rather than about playing style. 1.3K Hard is the accessible one, suited to players still developing and to heavy training use. 18K is the competition frame, with a denser weave and a stiffer response for players who can generate their own speed; it has run to a second generation, rebalanced rather than redesigned. A harder foam sits under both, because the shape returns more power than a conventional head and the core is what keeps that in hand.

What does the hexagonal Cybershape head actually change?
It keeps width where a conventional head narrows. On a round or teardrop mold the top of the face tapers, so contact above the middle loses power quickly; the flattened hexagonal top holds surface up there instead. Stiga puts the gain at roughly twenty per cent more sweet spot for the same overall size.
Should a beginner buy the 1.3K Hard or the 18K Cybershape?
The 1.3K Hard. It uses the same foam as the competition frame, so the feel is consistent across the range, but the lighter carbon weave makes it more forgiving and considerably cheaper. The 18K rewards a player who already produces their own racket speed and will feel unhelpfully stiff before that.
Is a Cybershape racket legal for competition?
Yes. The hexagonal outline sits within the dimensional limits the sport sets for a racket head, and Stiga sells the line as competition approved. The shape is unusual rather than irregular.
